The Higher and Degree Apprenticeships Conference 2023 will explore new solutions and the latest practice in delivering high impact apprenticeship provision at level 4 and above. The Conference will bring together leading experts and practitioners to assess the regulatory, funding and delivery landscape, as well as examining some of the core challenges for the apprenticeship market in higher education.

Participants will gain fresh perspectives and actionable insights on navigating a complex regulatory environment, programme delivery amid inflationary pressures, preparing for rolling Ofsted inspections, meeting completion targets and supporting high impact employer engagement to support improved apprentice outcomes.

The Road to 2025: The Quality Question and Preparing for Ofsted Inspections

 

With Ofsted committing to inspect all apprentice training providers by September 2025, the spotlight falls on quality and how providers can ensure they meet expectations on delivery and apprentice outcomes. This session will explore:

  • Core steps in preparing for an Ofsted inspection and lessons learnt from providers that have faced the process

  • The role of the new Apprenticeship Accountability Framework, the indicators used and how the review process is conducted

  • What effective management of quality and compliance looks like at level 4 and above

  • Being ready for conversations on learner progress, support mechanisms and managing performance

  • Breaking down the core areas of scrutiny and ensuring your institution is prepared for data review, staff discussions and observation of provision
